An original AKE escalator step chain measuring 70 x 25 mm in the AODA inner-link version. The chain links the steps together and transfers the drive force from the machine to the step band, keeping the steps evenly spaced and moving in step with the handrail. Replaced during overhaul work; the chain size and link version should be confirmed before ordering.
