The ESİT-DR-A dynamic railway wagon scale is an automatic weighing instrument that measures without uncoupling wagons from the train. It is installed in a suitable section of track at loading and unloading stations; the train passes over the scale at a specific constant speed while axle weights are measured in motion and sent to a connected PC, which calculates the speed, wagon weights and total train weight. Net weights are determined by weighing twice or from tare information entered beforehand, after which the required information is printed. Sensitivity is 0.5% for total train weight and 1% for single wagon weight, with a measurable speed range of 2 to 20 km/h.
